Fox River GSP Canoe Trip

Join the Glacier State Paddlers for a fun day canoeing on the final stretch of the Fox River in Wisconsin before it enters Illinois. Meeting at 10:00 am, the trip will begin at Cty JB about 5 miles southeast of Burlington on Hwy 83. Turn left (east) on Cty JB and go a short distance to a small parking lot on the right at the Fox River. We will follow the quiet, meandering Fox River through farmland for 12 miles until it reaches the Wisconsin/Illinois border near Wilmot, WI. Please bring a bag lunch, beverage, and gloves to protect your hands.

Call Mike Craig, GSP trip leader and Nordic member, at 414-552-5011 to reserve a spot on the trip and to get trip details (where to meet, etc.). Identify yourself as a Nordic Ski Club member. Canoe rental cost will probably be $6.00 per person. Money should be paid directly to Mike. There is no fee if you have your own canoe or kayak.
