Enjoy a guided nature hike into Vernon Marsh.

The Friends of Vernon Marsh is organizing a guided nature hike into Vernon Marsh on Saturday, September 24 starting promptly at 8:30 am till 10:30 am.

We will walk one of the Marsh's longest berms from Frog Alley to the Mukwonago side of the Marsh. At that point you will have the option of continuing to the fen at the south end of the Marsh or to return to Frog Alley over the same route. After a short visit to the Fen we will hike back to the Frog Alley parking Area. This is one the highest berms in the Marsh and provides great views in all directions.

Degree of Difficulty:  Mild to Moderate.  Hiking over natural terrain with short rests.

Please dress appropriately for the conditions the morning of the hike, and please bring water to carry, especially if it’s warm. Sun screen and insect repellent is recommended. Wear good hiking shoes.

Feel free to check out the Friends of Vernon Marsh home page website at http://www.friendsofvernonmarsh.org/

We will meet at the Holtz Pkwy park and ride lot in Mukwonago off I-43/WIS 83). We will leave the park & ride at 8:15am and travel to the trail head (a short distance away). Or meet at the location start at the Upper Observation Area Parking at the end of Frog Alley Rd off Hwy 83.

Please call or text Barb Tremel @ 262-894-4700, to let her know you are coming or if you have any questions.
