Rock Painting Adventure and Optional Hike

  • Sunday, September 27, 2020
  • 2:30 PM
  • Lapham Peak Unit, Kettle Moraine State Forest; W329 N846 Cty C, Delafield, WI

Join us at Lapham Peak, Homestead Hollow parking lot, at the Mike Ford shelter on Sunday, September 27 at 2:30.  (If this area is unavailable, we will move to the picnic tables in the hollow near the Trecker Lodge.)

For those of you who would like to take a hike beforehand we will leave the Homestead parking area at 1 pm.

Scott and Elly Miller will provide 150 stones with a base color on them. Cathy Ward will provide the paints, brushes etc.

Google: rock painting ideas for kids to take, hide or place on hiking trails or in parks. A lot of ideas are out there. You can also bring a permanent marker to write on the stones: believe, trust, hope, dream, family, you are perfect or beautiful, etc. If you want to bring a few stones that you find in your yard to add to the mix, feel free to bring whatever you want. A plain gray stone is very pretty to paint on too.

Contacts for the event are Elly Miller ridgetop2@charter.net and Cathy Ward cward4@att.net 262 227-4551.

We ask that you please wear a mask during the rock painting.

The Nordic Ski Club of Milwaukee (NSCM) will continue to practice social distancing and the use of face masks, as recommended by the CDC and Wisconsin authorities. Know that your participation in any event is at your own risk. Before attending any NSCM outing or event, please check with the event leader. Use good judgment and continue to keep us all safe.
