Please consider a donation to help build a permanent structure for cross-country skiers at the McMiller Ski Trails new trailhead near Eagle, Wisconsin.
An anonymous donor will give $10,000 if skiers and businesses donate $10,000 by April 1, 2014; so there's some urgency to this effort! A permanent building is a wonderful long-term legacy to leave for future skiers.
The rest of the money for the building will come from the DNR and the shelter will be built by WCTC students; so this will be a great public-private partnership.
Donations are tax deductible, and you can even make your donation online (giving levels are shown online). The Wisconsin Biathlon Association and Kettle Moraine Natural History Association have partnered to create a website and spearhead the fundraising effort so a shelter building can be constructed for the 2014-2015 ski season.
