Join us on a canoe base camping trip on the Namekagon River from Wednesday, July 5 through Sunday, July 9. The base camp will be at the Trego Town Park & Campground. This clear and clean river is one of Chris’ favorites, and is part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Chris has done this river six times and water levels were always adequate.

The 3 paddles from Hayward to Trego average 10 miles per day with a very easy shuttle route on Highway 63. Paddlers can expect numerous turns, occasional riffles & Class 1 rapids. There are numerous landings and primitive campsites (with pit toilets & picnic tables) along the river. These sections are in the Mike Svob paddling book, Namekagon River Sections 1 and 2.

Due to campground site size, we’re limiting this event to 12 people total. We have reserved two sites at $27 per night with a maximum of 8 people and 3 tents at each site. We can get extra tent sites for a fee. For more info, or to sign up, call or text Chris Locher at 414-510-8964.
