Join our Hayward ski trip for some fantastic skiing on the Birkie Trail and Tower Ridge ski trails from Friday, January 21 thru Sunday, January 23.
The bus leaves Friday morning at 8 am. We will likely be stopping on the way up to ski at Tower Ridge near Eau Claire with 17 km of ski trails groomed for striding and skating and suitable for all abilities. Tower Ridge also has 3 km of snowshoe trails and a nice chalet with indoor restrooms.
We will ski the American Birkebeiner ski trails with over 100 km of beautifully groomed ski trails. We will ski different parts of the Birkie trail on Saturday and Sunday where we will have reserved staging facilities. The Great Hall is at the start of the Birkebeiner ski trail, and at the Hwy OO trailhead there is a large ski chalet with indoor bathrooms. There are additional trailside warming cabins along the Birkie trail. Snowshoe trails at OO are in the woods near the ski trails.
Cost Includes: Motor coach transportation, trail fees, and two nights accommodations at the Flat Creek Lodge in Hayward with swimming pool, whirlpool, free continental breakfast, Flat Creek Restaurant & Saloon, and microwave and refrigerator in each room. An optional group dinner will be offered.
Please register before Jan. 7 as any extra rooms have to be released at that time.
You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to participate on this trip.
