Opportunity knocks for all enthusiastic bicyclists on 2025! Join fellow Nordics on Waukesha county’s, scenic “Bugline”.
The “Bugline”, is a converted, paved, “Milwaukee Road”, right-of-way. The often, tree lined, multipurpose route passes through quiet, small communities of Lannon, Sussex and North Lake. Occasionally, it intersects with busy rural roads. It’s an ideal pedal to ease into the bike season as the terrain tends to be flat with gradual inclines, and one hefty hill after you’ve warmed up.
This “no cue sheet”, out-and back-ride starts promptly at 9:30 am. We’ll be meeting at the southwest corner of the Village Bowl parking lot (N86W18330 Main Street, Menomonee Falls, Wi). No bathroom on the premises. Approximate length of the ride is 30 miles but make it shorter if you wish. If interested, there is a map online. There will be an optional, outdoor lunch stop coming back at the tasty “Loca Latte”, in Sussex. Contact Jane Stoltz (1jmstoltz@gmail.com, or phone 414-378-1791) by May 7 so she knows to expect you.
