It has been six years since our club has had a sit-down holiday Sunday dinner. So for the final year of the Nordic Ski Club of Milwaukee, we're returning to our last sit-down holiday banquet venue. On December 7, 2025, we meet at 4:00 pm for a holiday party and dinner at Delafield Brewhaus. This popular restaurant is in cross-country ski territory. Cocktails and socializing start at 4:00 pm, with dinner afterward. We'll be meeting in a lower-level party room, just as we did in 2019 (before Covid).
While the meal is on a buffet, you'll need to choose an entree so the restaurant knows what to order. The three entree choices are seared salmon with lemon leak sauce, beef tenderloin tips in a garlic-mushroom sauce, or slow-roasted pork medallions with a hoisin-honey garlic demi-glaze. They are accompanied by sour cream mashed potatoes, green beans amandine, a garden salad, dinner rolls, and coffee, tea or milk. All meals are $44, which includes a dessert the club will provide. Please send a check made out to NSCM with your entree selection to coordinator Cathy Ward by October 31. We encourage you to bring checks to the October 10 season-opening meeting (see top article in this newsletter). We must have your check by October 31 to make sure we have a minimum number to reserve Delafield Brewhaus. Vegetarians can contact Cathy about a vegetarian meal.
